Ms. Nelson's third-grade class celebrated Black History Month with a recitation of the Gettysburg Address and a variation of the "I Have a Dream" speech in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The students practiced last week in preparation for a formal performance this week at the Southwest Campus.
Several students took turns in reciting passages of the speeches. They spoke with conviction and vigor and students and parents will be impressed when they see the performance.
