My name is Toni Fisher and I am the new director of the Northeast Campus, where I will be responsible for the quality of growth and development of your children.
I have a strong background in urban education, including experience as a teacher, assistant principal and special education administrator. I started in the Houston Independent School District more than 15 years ago as a teacher in the special education department. During my time at the district I was a special education department chairperson and also served as a district special education administrator. I joined the KIPP Houston family as a founding parent of KIPP Liberation College Preparatory and later served as Assistant School leader. Most recently I have served as the Executive Director of Sisterhood Creations Children’s Association, a grass-roots organization dedicated to children affected by poverty.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then completed my master’s degree in Educational Administration at Texas Southern University. I am completing my doctoral degree in Non-profit management and anticipate completing my doctoral program in 2016.
I have three children, two of whom will be entering college in the fall. My daughter will attend Tulsa University on an academic scholarship and my son will be attending Lamar University where he will major in Industrial Engineering. My youngest son will enter the fifth grade this year. I enjoy cooking, cycling, yoga, reading and traveling.
