The Cat in the Hat (Ms. Kelcey White), a character in a children's book written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss, surprises and thrills young students at The Varnett School Northeast. Dr. Seuss's birthday is celebrated every year on or around March 2. Teachers read stories from Dr. Seuss as The Cat in the Hat provided the entertainment. Dr. Seuss's real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel.
