Varnett boys train to be men

Varnett Northeast campus teachers led young male students in several fun activities on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

These activities were part of the annual Boys' Day Celebration. This day is chosen to teach and exemplify positive behaviors all gentlemen need to learn in order to live in today’s world.

Mr. Lawrence K. Thomas demonstrated how to tie a necktie. The boys had a chance to do it themselves and seek assistance.

Mr. Evan Blanks led the boys in proper etiquette and proper table manners.

Coach Quentin Randle met with the boys to review proper ways to communicate respectfully.

Ms. Stephanie Aldridge even led the boys in an arts and crafts activity.

The 20 etiquette lessons every child needs to know

Kudos to all the male teachers who participated!  We appreciate that you exemplify what real men are.  Real men are educated, respectful and engaged with their community.

Bravo!
