Varnett, Houston Food Bank partnership helps families during Spring Break

The Varnett Public School has paired with the Houston Food Bank to help the community during these turbulent times of the coronavirus. 
 
On Wednesday, March 18, Varnett Northeast and the food bank worked together to provide 300 meals to families. "During this time of uncertainty, the Varnett Northeast Family pulled together," said Dr. Toron Wooldridge, the campus director. (Click here for more photos)
 
On Thursday, March 19, food was distributed to dozens of families at the East campus in an event that started at 8 a.m. Ms. Gayle Voltz, the campus director, said the distribution of food went not only to Varnett family members but to the community at large.
 
Both events occurred during Spring Break.
 
Southeast campus will pair with the Houston Food Bank to distribute food on Wednesday, March 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
Southwest campus is working with the Houston Food Bank to set up a date and time.
 
Thanks to the Houston Food Bank for providing meals to our families and community members during these troubled times.
