Parent Survey: 2020-2021 School Year Preparation

The coronavirus pandemic has caused schools across the country to educate students differently this school year and has caused us to begin looking at ideas for what instruction will look like for the 2020-2021 school year.

For the past two months, The Varnett Public Schools has worked to continue to provide instruction and remediation to our students through Google Classroom. Our students were able to use this method of instruction at home because they were accustomed to online activities in their daily instructional routines in school before the pandemic occurred. I know this has been challenging for our families, and we are seeking your help in our planning.

This summer we will continue distance learning by mailing a summer school instructional packet directly to your home, providing online class instruction to support students in the completion of their packet, and providing an opportunity for parents and/or students to call their teacher for any additional support after the online Google Live! class has ended.

Our administrative team is busy developing plans for the 2020-2021 school year. I am asking for your input to help us decide how your child will receive services in the next school year.

Please assist us by completing this survey to guide our thinking as we work together to navigate this new way of educating our students.

Thank you for your support.
