As a partner school, you probably know by now that FlynnO'Hara is not a discount retailer. Over the course of our fifty-year history we’ve focused on providing high-quality products at a fair everyday price, rather than building discounts into our margins. We believe strongly that a school uniform should last the school year - and that investing a bit more in quality up-front ultimately saves parents time and money in the long-run. The price of our products has always been, and will continue to be, a reflection of the quality fabrics and durable construction they’re made with.
This year, though, we recognize that the expense of back-to-school shopping presents a greater financial burden to many families in our community. We also understand that remote learning has been incredibly trying for both parents and students, and that – ultimately – the focus right now needs to be on returning to the classroom safely. In an effort to relieve some of the financial stress imposed by COVID-19, FlynnO’Hara will be offering a series of discounts to families from our partner schools focused on making uniform shopping more affordable this summer.
In return, we are asking for support from our partner schools in making this back-to-school season a safe one. Due to the current health crisis, last-minute shopping in crowded stores is no longer a safe option for parents, students, or employees. And although our retail locations will reopen soon, they will do so with significantly limited capacity. In the interest of safety, and to ensure that every student receives the uniform they need in time for the first day of school, we strongly recommend that parents consider shopping online this season and - more than ever - avoid waiting until the last minute!
In order to encourage families to shop early, discount percentages will decline over the course of the summer - meaning that the earlier families shop, the more they'll save! Additionally, in the interest of safety, discounts can be applied only to remote orders (online & over the phone) to encourage customers to shop from home. Once our stores reopen, this will include curbside pickup!
We are excited to roll out our first promotion for 20% off + Free Shipping this week! In order to ensure that our warehouse and customer service teams (who are still operating with limited staff) can keep up with order volume, we will be emailing the discount directly to customers over the next few days, before advertising it on the website / social media next week from Tuesday 6/16 - Thursday 6/18.
On Monday, we will follow up with a flyer outlining promotion details including the discount code. We encourage you to share this flyer with school families via email and on your own social media accounts! It will be especially important that you share this flyer with incoming families who have never shopped with us before. Unless these families have signed up for updates, we do not have a way to communicate the discount to them directly!
