About 200 students received fire safety tips from the Houston Fire Department, and some had fun donning the safety gear and inspecting the truck.
The occasion occurred during Fire Prevention Month and pre-kindergarten through second-grade students learned lessons about safety and the important job of firefighting.
As the third- through fifth-grade students were about ready to take their turn, the 4-man crew had to go out and respond to an alarm. Maybe next time!
