Teacher Appreciation Week, from May 2-6, 2022, was awesome.
All teachers and staff from the Northeast campus enjoyed the celebration throughout the week. We had several sponsors that provided lunch for all staff on three days of the week. We thank our three corporate sponsors: Republic Services, PNC Bank. and Anything Metal Construction owned by Mr. Clayton Flowers.
We were also pleased with the presence of Dr. Margaret Stroud, superintendent of The Varnett Public School, on Wednesday.
On Teacher Appreciation Week, Dr. Toron Wooldridge, the campus director, announced the Awards for Teacher and Staff of the Year.
The Teacher of the Year was Ms. Angela Howard, one of our Kindergarten teachers, and Staff of the Year was Ms. Yolanda Valadez, our Parent Liaison. This year for the first time we also had an award for The New Teacher of the Year who was Ms. Zacari Lewis, one of our 5th Grade teachers.
