Students celebrate Christmas in the warm outdoors

Northeast Campus students, dressed to reflect the holiday spirit, sang and danced in the bright outdoors as they celebrated Christmas with various themes on display.

After a welcome by Northeast Campus director Twilet Alexander, parents were treated to Carol of the Bells (kindergarten), You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch (1st & 2nd grades), WhoVille Speech and WhoVille Christmas Song (4th grade), and Up on a House Top (PreK3)

Other performances included Super Simple Santa (PreK-4), Feliz Navidad (PreK), Santa Claus is Coming to Town (PreK), Where are you Christmas (3rd grade) and Mr. Grinch Dance Mix (5th grade).

Grinch was on hand, too, but didn't make any attempt to steal Christmas. The campus sported a beautiful Christmas tree with presents, and parents and students combined to create ornaments to give the tree a little dazzle.

The event occurred on Thursday, Dec. 12, a perfect day for entertaining after days of cold and windy weather. The campus was, indeed, lucky.

For the finale, the crowd formed a circle around the Christmas tree in the spirit of unity and togetherness. Thanks to Ms. Alexander and to Ms. Medina and Mr. Rhone who produced the show.
