The Northeast Campus celebrated Cinco de Mayo with an authentic street festival, complete with a mariachi band, dancers and exotic animals.
The event hosted more than 200 community and family members. The rain could not stop our festive day. Children enjoyed a great lunch with their parents and then moved throughout the campus participating in Zumba classes, petting the animals and watching our Northeast cheer team dance to their favorite Latin beats.
Barn Hill Preserve brought to the party a baby kangaroo, snake, turtles and birds for viewing and educational purposes.
It was a huge success and we would like to thank Nurse Medina for coordinating such a great event.
