Winners of the 2015 Varnett School Northeast Campus Science Fair were announced during the Winner's Circle ceremonies that took place May 22, 2015 in the school library.
Fourth and fifth graders had an opportunity to participate in this year's fair. There were many great projects submitted and the winner's circle consisted of the top 3 in each grade as well as students who received honorable mention. Parents were invited to walk around and meet the participants as the students explained their projects to them.
Listed below are the names of the winners and their projects:
4th Grade
1st- Anthony Luna - Bubble making machine
2nd- Roxanne Grimaldo - Balloon experiment
3rd- Chandler Williams - Different slimes
5th grade
1st place- Jazlyn Flores - Slime
2nd- Nancy Moran - Dry Ice Bubble Machine
3rd- Jorge Alaniz- Friction race car
The Science Fair was a huge success and a big thank you to our committee, Mrs. Wyatt, Nurse Medina and Ms. Short for making it all happen.
