More than 150 families accepted the challenge to draw and decorate a turkey in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
Some students used an outline while others started from scratch, said Ms. Fisher, the Northeast Campus director. For their efforts, the families were presented a participation certificate.
"Students used their creative juices and turned in great works of art," Ms. Fisher said. "We want to thank our parents and families who participated." The assignment was a monthly family project at the campus.
The projects are designed to encourage parents to spend time with their children in the field of learning.
