The Northeast campus kicked off the festive season with a wonderful show on the evening of December 17th at the Eden Event Center. The center was a perfect backdrop for the Winter Wonderland program as students entertained more than 400 audience members.
More than 150 students participated in this spectacular event. Students learned about different countries and provided audience members with a trip around the world as they presented the “Varnett Network News."
Each grade level provided a look at winter activities in other countries. The presentations were as follows:
- Pre-Kindergarten Mexico
- Kindergarten- South Africa
- 1st Grade- Switzerland
- 2nd Grade- Panama
- 3rd Grade- USA
- 4th Grade-USA
- 5th Grade-Finland
The cheerleaders provided commercial breaks and performed dance routines to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Rocking Around the Christmas tree. Audience members experienced the diversity and commonality of traditions celebrated around the world. It was a great family event. A huge thank you to Ms. Swanson and Ms. Medina for coordinating the program.
