Students, staff bring storybook characters to life

On Monday our students and faculty participated in our annual book Character Parade. Students were encouraged to dress up as a character from a book of their choice. We had more than 200 students and 10 staff members participate, including our grand marshals Mickey Mouse (Mr. Ryan J. Rudd) and Minnie Mouse (Ms. Kayla Kinner).

Ms. Toni Fisher, our Northeast Campus director, also joined in and dressed as a character from the children's story The Girl Who Spun Gold.  The event is a way to engage families in our literacy initiative.

Thanks to all who participated.
