Hundreds of pre-k through second-grade students had a "Field Day" today as The Varnett Public School neared the last day of school on May 26.
Students and staff from East and Northeast campuses joined their Southwest counterparts for fun, food, snow cones and drinks.
Field Day is an annual event for children to burn off energy after an academic year of learning.
Students in grades 3-5 will have their Field Day, tomorrow, May 19, also at the Southwest Campus.
Thanks to the parents who supported their children all year and we look forward to seeing you again when school starts on August 21. But remember, parents, we have one week to go to complete this school year.
