News flash: Toy Drive & Parent Empowerment Program

The Varnett Student Council will be sponsoring a toy drive for students and families impacted by Hurricane Harvey. If you can, please donate a new toy for a student enrolled in our school. Gifts will be given to students Dec. 22.

Parent Empowerment Program is our culturally responsive parent-centered approach to increasing parent “advocacy" and expectations for the success of children. Our theme is “I Got the Power."

Parents have the power to shape the early development of their children's lives. The program draws from this notion of engaging parents in achieving this goal with their children. Our next parent meeting is Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. Holiday Door Prizes will be given away every 30 minutes.

Our students will be performing a Holiday extravaganza. Don’t miss your opportunity to join in on the conversation about the Power of Love.
