Nearly100 fathers came to the Northeast campus Friday for the annual Donuts with Dads event. The event was one of many activities the Varnett Public School promotes to encourage family bonding inside and outside the classroom.
Students and dads sat side-by-side as they ate donuts with their breakfast. There were plenty of donuts to go around with several dads bringing their own in addition to what the campus provided.
The campus reported a head-count of 90 fathers. In addition to eating breakfast, students wrote down why their dads are so important.
By all accounts, everybody had a good time and we thank the fathers who were able to attend. Those who didn't attend, we hope to see you next time!
