Dear Northeast Parents,
During these unprecedented times, I want to thank you for your support. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, our district transitioned from in-class instruction to online. The transition was abrupt but I appreciate your patience and understanding.
Parents, I know it has not been easy but your unwavering support has embodied the collaborative culture that makes Varnett Northeast a great campus. We have just launched the Homework Hotline so feel free to call (281-369-8855) if you or your child have homework questions.
The Varnett staff continues to make weekly contacts through phone calls, emails, Google Classrooms, Google Hangouts, Class Dojo and Remind App.
If your family does not have access to technology, we also have work packets that will be mailed weekly with return addresses that allow students to submit completed work. The process may take two weeks in some instances. However, teachers are available if you have questions at (713) 631-4396.
I understand that we are experiencing challenging times but we are here to assist your child's educational needs. Please make sure you monitor our district website for the latest Varnett Public School updates. Also, please make sure that you are sheltering in place at home, exhibiting social distancing, and practicing safe habits to ensure your safety.
Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you soon. Take care and be safe.
